  • Cedar Brook just below the Cedar Brook crossing along the Pemi East Side Trail in the Pemigewasset Wilderness in Lincoln, New Hampshire days after Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. Flash floods from Tropical Storm Irene dragged these trees down the brook to this location. This tropical storm / hurricane caused destruction along the East coast of the United States and the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire was officially closed during the storm.

This storm caused extensive damage along the East coast of the United States. And the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire was officially closed during the storm.

  • The abandoned dinning hall at Lyndonville Air Force Station on East Mountain in East Haven, Vermont. The US Air Force built the North Concord Radar Station on top of East Mountain in 1955. Its name was changed to Lyndonville Air force Station in 1962 and then closed in 1963. In 1961, the station supposedly reported a UFO sighting just a few hours before the reported abduction of Barney and Betty Hill on September 19-20, 1961.
