This spur line came off of the North Fork Branch of the railroad, near Jumping Brook, crossed the North Fork of the East Branch Pemigewasset River in this location and traveled a short distance on the East side of the river ending at a landing / work area.

These concrete footings held the steel penstock that connected the dam to the Number 2 Powerhouse that was a short distance downriver. Built in the early 1900s, this dam was located east of Loon Mountain on the East Branch. And historical references refer to this dam by different names, but the No. 2 Dam seems to be the name most used.

  • Location of where trestle No. 17 of the East Branch & Lincoln Logging Railroad (1893 -1948) crossed the East Branch of Pemigewasset River in the Pemigewasset Wilderness of New Hampshire. Behind the stone abutments is also the location of where a suspension footbridge once crossed the river along the Wilderness Trail. It was removed in 2009 because of safety issues.

It had two lines of track near the end of the spur, and railroad ties are still visible on the left side.

  • Artifact (Henry N. Clark Company stove door) at Camp 24B of the East Branch & Lincoln Railroad in the Cedar Brook valley in the Pemigewasset Wilderness, New Hampshire. The East Branch & Lincoln Railroad was a logging railroad that operated from 1893-1948. And this mountain camp was established when the Parker-Young Company owned the railroad. This stove piece is a protected artifact that represents the East Branch & Lincoln Railroad era; the removal of historical artifacts from federal lands without a permit is a violation of federal law, and artifacts should be left where they are found, not put on display.

  • Remnants of the old Crib Dam (also may have be known as the Diversion Dam) on the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River during the spring months in Lincoln, New Hampshire. This dam was one of at least four dams on the East Branch of the Pemi during the Lincoln mill era. And this one was used to control water flow into the mill pond. Most of these timbers were washed away and / or buried during Tropical Storm Irene in 2011.
