Title: Mt. Willard Section House - Hart's Location, New Hampshire
Description: May 2016 - Vandalism done to the monument at the Mt. Willard Section House. It was recently discovered that vandals scratched the Evans family out of the monument. The Willard Section House site is located along the old Maine Central Railroad, next to the Willey Brook Trestle, in Crawford Notch. It was built in 1887 to house the section foreman and crew who maintained Section 139 of the railroad. From 1903-1942, the Hattie Evans family lived at the house. And it was razed in 1972.
