May 23, 2018 - Thoreau Falls Trail bridge closed sign. The Thoreau Falls Trail bridge, which crosses the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River, in the Pemigewasset Wilderness is not safe and is out of service. The trail is still open, but hikers will have to ford the river at this location.
