Remnants of the fire tower that was once on the summit of Mount Martha (the highest peak on Cherry Mountain) in the New Hampshire White Mountains during the summer months. From 1939-1968, a forty-foot fire lookout tower stood on the summit. In 1982, it was razed. However, the razing of the fire tower failed, and it was eventually dismantled by hand in 1989.
