Title: Boise Rock - Franconia Notch State Park
Description: Boise Rock in Franconia Notch State Park in the New Hampshire White Mountains during the spring months. While traveling through Franconia Notch in the 1800s, a blizzard overtook local teamster Thomas Boise forcing him to spend the night under this large rock overhang. In order to survive, he killed and skinned his horse and then wrapped the horse’s hide around him like a blanket.
