Description: Artifact (part of a sled runner on a logging sled) at an old logging camp along the abandoned Woodstock & Thornton Gore Railroad in the Talford Brook drainage in Thornton, New Hampshire during the autumn months. Operated by the Woodstock Lumber Company, this was a logging railroad in operation from 1909-1914 in the towns of Woodstock, Thornton Gore, and Livermore. The removal of historic artifacts from federal lands without a permit is a violation of federal law.
