The Thoreau Falls Trail bridge, which crosses the East Branch of the Pemigewasset River, in the Pemigewasset Wilderness on October 31, 2017. On October 29-30 a storm consisting of heavy rain and strong winds caused extensive damage throughout New Hampshire. The East Branch of the Pemi River flooded around the Thoreau Falls Trail bridge, but the bridge looks to have been untouched. This bridge has a tilt to it that is visible in the photograph.
