Title: Old Growth Yellow Birch Tree - Kinsman Notch, White Mountains
Description: Old Yellow birch on the rocky hillside of Mount Blue in Kinsman Notch of the White Mountains, New Hampshire USA. This area was part of the Gordon Pond Railroad era, which was a logging railroad in operation from 1907-1916. The terrain was so rugged in Kinsman Notch that some sections of it was inaccessible to the 20th century loggers.
