A number of the roads in the White Mountains date back to the early 1800s and 1900s, and they played an important role in the early years of farming and tourism. Example: Established in 1801, Sandwich Notch Road was considered a shortcut to the coast. Photos are mainly focused on roadside scenes and are available for publications and projects.
